Gutandukanya – Parting

“Come”, she said
“Whisper into my mouth,
The things your eyes say…”

I went to her and I kissed her,
I kissed her with my eyes, my lips
I kissed her with my heart,

I kissed her, as she cried
I tasted the sweetness of her lips
…the bitterness of her tears

I kissed her again…and again
As I whispered into her mouth
Promises I could not keep

I kissed her
And I felt her heart break
And my heart broke
As her heart broke

I kissed her
Because I did not know what to say
My words had lost their way

I kissed her
And I walked away
I walked away and did not look back

sorry my response came very late,

Simply Amazing,
Truly divine,
Are the words my memory tell me,
When my heart first met him.

Warmth and love,
were the food his lips fed me,
Kisses of love,
that made my hunger for more,
more of his touch,his love,
his heart,his everything,

Then we slipped,
I didnot see the banana peel,
He left so sudden,so soon.

I lost my breath,
My gait,
My love,
My love, who was not exactly what he seemed.
He was a smoke screen,
The lull before the storm,

I donot understand his leave,
but I must let him be,
And cherish the short sweet memories that we made.

And hopefully, the winds of fate, will let our sails meet again,
till then Gutandukanya.

I'm soooooo glad I stumbled on this. Yes, it brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful, yet so familiar...its like you saw and heard when it happened and wrote about it word for word!
